We utilise several tools to help check our assumptions when it comes to User Experience online (UX).  One of our favourites is the Lift Model - we use this, along with user personas and stories to audit client sites or new sites.

A lot of work goes into making templates as adaptable and flexible as possible, particularly now that sites are driven from content management systems. There is a lot to get right behind-the-scenes to make editing sites as simple as possible for our clients, whilst maintaining the highest standards of accessibility and performance.
