David's oh so proud to say he's Semantics newest addition (Oct 2008). He started out with an interest in web-design aged 14, then discovered Semantic who invested belief in him and were never too busy to email him back with answers to his questions.
David tells everyone he meets that Semantic have helped him "Go for it" and "Take a chance". He also says work experience with Semantic was the best and made him understand that getting up and going to work should not be a chore but a pleasure and learning new skills everyday (I.e - playing Unreal Tournament)!
David loves films, plays the drums and has a passion for theme parks. He says "Never give up on your dreams they can come true". He didn't and look... he finally got his position with Semantic!
And this is what Semantic said about David
Great news... Semantic is growing again. We are really happy to welcome David O'Hara as the fifth member of the team. Well almost.
Some of you may remember David (right), an impressive fellow whose been on our case for a couple of years now, and came in to do work experience earlier in the year.
Thankfully David is still pursuing his education (which means he won't be putting us out of business quite yet), but outside of that he's continued to look at, test, and occasionally break our sites.
(A problem spotted is a problem solved).
Anyway, we've decided it's about time we officially recognise his contribution, bring him onto the payroll in a small way, and generally make him part of the team.
Right now David is focusing on testing our work, and working on a site for our illustrator friend Jennie Maizels... but it wouldn't surprise us at all if he gets involved in building more and more as time goes by.
So if you happen to see David (david@semantic.co.uk) copied into emails from time to time do not be alarmed. He's one of us.
