Blog > Semantic is hiring!

30 December 2005

Those of you who follow Semantic will know that we've lost Tom to a job that does not involve him spending half his life stuck on the M3.

This is sad news, not least because it looks as though I am going to have to start doing some work around here.

In a desperate effort to avoid this state of affairs I am now searching for Semantic's next victim.

But this is a serious business. As well as losing a friend from the office we are losing Tom's strong technical and personal skills. Whoever replaces him will have a lot of live up to... but anyway, let's talk about you...

- you have a happy, confident personality
- you like talking to people
- you are creative, enthusiastic
- you like making stuff
- you have strong html, ASP, ASP.net & javascript skills
- you've seen our recent stuff, and know how we can make it better!

And so on and so forth.

Of course the list is not exhaustive. If you are all these things and have a black-belt in Macromedia Flash, bring it on.

It is no accident that the personality stuff is at the top of our list. Yes you'll need the technical skills, but the personality is a big deal for us. If you think you fit the criteria drop us a line.

P.S. And Tom, best of luck. We will miss you around here.

Pssst... over here!

Hi there. Thanks for visiting Semantic's old blog. Yep, that's right... this is an archive of stories from December 2005 and June 2010.

Our wit and wisdom now lives at blog.semantic.co.uk.

(Which is not to say that there's plenty worth reading here... you lucky devil.)
